Picture this .. it’s you first day off in weeks . You want to pamper yourself , but you don’t want to leave the house or take off those comfy P.J’s . Not to worry ladies..We have the solution.

 

Emulating a spa-like setting is all about the atmosphere. Opting to treat yourself to a DIY spa day is extra relaxing in a quiet home, so try to make some time when you won’t be disturbed. Soft music or freshly scented candles can transform any bathroom into a temporary tranquil paradise, and hot herbal tea or a tall glass of cucumber water can serve as a hydrating treat to enhance the experience. All of the recommended DIY spa treatments can be done together or separately. Turn your phone off and Open up your schedule!

You heard me. Cut yourself off from the world…at least for a couple of hours. Self-care is all about you and that’s okay; it’s not selfish, it’s necessary. Besides turning off your device, make sure you carve out enough time for yourself so as not to rush the experience. When I say spa day, I mean it. At-home facial masks are all the rage right now for a few simple reasons. One, they’re easy to come by.. Second, there’s a face mask for anything and everything. Oily skin, dry skin, acne-prone, anti-aging, cleansing, rehydrating…trust me. If you’ve got it, there’s a mask for it. Lastly, masks are user-friendly. Simply apply, wait, and rinse. Just be sure to read the directions – most masks shouldn’t be left on for more than twenty minutes.

Miss your friends? Invite them over over, have everyone bring their favorite face masks to mix and match, and don’t forget to take selfies (those sheet masks that are so popular right now are HILARIOUS!). A good hand scrub can  loosen up that dry, dull skin on your cuticles . Follow that treatment with a thick moisturizer for baby soft hands. Look at you ! You look like a million bucks and you never left the house!

If your like me , your days are filled with the fast pace on the go lifestyle that most Americans are used to .  Whether you have kids or not ,just the day to day of being a human can add stress and anxiety to your everyday world. You probably have friends and family who urge you to slow down, take it easy.. But who has time for that? ,You do! . Below we listed the best ways to relax,  de stress and unwind all in the privacy of your own home, and all for as little time as possible because let’s face it , we have things to do.

Bubble Baths : (15 min -1 hour)

Truly they only take 15 mins . Just Run the tub on the hottest temp that you can stand . Add 10 drops of Lavender essential oil to the hot water . Lavender is known as a calming and relaxing herb and has frequently been used for insomnia, anxiety, depression, and natural stress relief. lavender aromatherapy can help with your sleep and mood. Soak in the bath water  for 15 mins.

Hot Stone’s: (30 min -1 hour)

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.The perfect temperature for these stones is about 130 degrees fahrenheit. Heat the rocks  in your crock pot with a damp towel for about 15 mins . You can place the stones on you stomach, chest , face , or your feet. Leave them in place for 15 mins.

 

The hot stones have a sedative effect that can relieve chronic pain, reduce stress and promote deep relaxation

The goal of meditation is to go beyond the mind and experience our essential nature—which is described as peace, happiness, and bliss.

But as anyone who has tried to meditate knows, the mind itself is the biggest obstacle standing between ourselves and this awareness. Thousands of meditation music downloads are available absolutely free online. Dim the lights , grab some candles  close your eyes and do nothing for at least 5 mins .. that’s it! See? Easy peasy!
